Cisna Selected to RMAC Hall of Fame

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – January 5, 2016 – One of the all-time greatest defenders to play men's soccer at Fort Lewis College, Luc Cisna has been selected to the 2016 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Hall of Fame.  Cisna is the first men's soccer player from any RMAC school to be inducted into the RMAC Hall of Fame.

"It's a real honor to be recognized by the RMAC, especially now that I am much older and need credibility for my stories!" said Cisna. "In all seriousness, I have a great respect for the players, coaches and administration of the RMAC past, present and future."

Cisna helped put Fort Lewis College on the national map for men's soccer in the late 1990's, donning the Skyhawks uniform from 1995-1999 (he sat out the 1996 season due to an injury).

His career-high records as a defender include 17 points, seven goals, three assists and 76 games played.

Cisna was a two-time All-American, two-time All-Region performer and Academic All-American, two-time team captain and an impeccable four-time Academic All-Conference performer for the Skyhawks. He led Fort Lewis to four RMAC Championships and the NCAA national title game in 1999.

Cisna was chosen to play in the 2000 Umbro Bowl Selection game, which featured top collegiate players from all NCAA and NAIA divisions. He was named 1999-2000 Fort Lewis Male Athlete of the Year. After leaving Fort Lewis, Cisna continued his career in the professional leagues playing for several different teams.

In 2009, he was named to the RMAC Men's Soccer All-Century Team.  He was inducted into the FLC Hall of Fame as an individual in 2005, and again in 2010 as a member of the 1999 team that advanced to the NCAA Championship game.

Cisna serves as the Associate Director of HR/OD at Colorado State University-Global Campus in Greenwood Village, Colorado.  He and his wife reside in Denver.

The 2016 RMAC Hall of Fame and awards ceremony will be held July 8 at the Colorado Springs Marriott.  For more information, go to www.rmacsports.org.
