February 16, 2010. Durango, CO. - The Fort Lewis College Football Team has just released their first group of signees from the 2010 recruiting class. Twelve players committed to play for the Skyhawks in the 2010 season. The first set of recruits for the 2010 season were brought in from Colorado, New Mexico, California and Maine.
Interim Head Coach Cesar Rivas-Sandoval commented on his recent signees, “I am very pleased with the start of this year's recruiting class. This initial group of signees are the cornerstones of progress for Fort Lewis College Football. All of these young men exemplify what we are building here. They are all exceptional young men, come from great families that have a high priority on academics and athletics. I feel that all of these student-athletes are a great fit for what we are trying to accomplish here at FLC, which is building a championship level football program. Our staff is still currently diligently working to adding to this initial group of signees over the coming weeks and we are very pleased with the amount of talented student-athletes that are still out there.”
