Cross Country Signs Three More Recruits
June 28, 2010. Durango, CO. - Three more athletes have signed athletic scholarship offers to compete for the Fort Lewis College harriers for the 2010-11 season announced Head Cross-Country Coach Ken Flint.
“I'm excited to welcome the newcomers to the Fort Lewis College family. I'm confident they will carry on the tradition of academic and athletic excellence here at the Fort.” said coach Flint.
Here are the athletes:
Kathryn McNiel- From Neenah High School in Neenah, WI. Kathryn lettered all four years in high school in cross-country, with a personal best of 15:34 at the 4k distance.
“Kathryn is a well-rounded student-athlete who comes in with the right mind set and work ethic to be a successful collegiate runner. I see her making a positive impact in many ways on our team.”said coach Flint.
Nelly Mutai- A transfer student from Kapsabet, Kenya.
“Nelly should be one of our top five scorers at every meet. She comes from an area in Kenya that is known for producing top runners ” said coach Flint.
Elizabeth Schwab From Saratoga High School in Saratoga Springs, New York. Elizabeth boasts a personal best of 19:32 for the 5k distance.
“Elizabeth is excited to come out to Colorado and experience all our area and school has to offer. I believe she can be a solid contributor to our team right away.” said coach Flint.
