By Hayden Mangan, Assistant AD-Communications & Fan Engagement

DURANGO, Colo. – Fort Lewis women’s golf looks to build off its four-tournament fall slate, capitalize on its brand-new Trackman indoor simulator, and push to keep the momentum rolling after last year’s record finish at the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championships.

Fall 2025

Fort Lewis kicked off the 2025-26 campaign back in September, competing in three tournaments across the month before one final tune-up at the NCAA West Region Preview (Oct. 13-14), hosted by Colorado State University Pueblo, over at the Pueblo Country Club in Pueblo, Colo.

The Skyhawks greatest success came just next door in South Jordan, Utah, where senior Dimery Plewe led her squad to a season-high tie for fourth place at the Westminster Wasatch Invitational (Sept. 21-22) at Glenmoor Golf Club. Plewe, a Four Corners native out of Cortez, Colo., fired off a six-over-par 150 to capture seventh-place as an individual. Rounding out Fort Lewis’ scoring-four was Isabel Bustillos in ninth on a 152 (+8), Kathryn Moores in 30th carding a 159 (+15), and Sarah Grenemyer in 32nd with a 160 (+16).

Grenemyer and Moores led Fort Lewis to a solid showing at this year’s Ruidoso Junior Golf Shootout at Estrella (Sept. 15-16), with the young duo earning a pair of top 25 finishes at the daunting Golf Club of Estrella. Grenmeyer paced the group with a five-over 149, good to tie for 18th, while Moores carded early career marks of 74 (+2) and 77 (+5) to finish in a tie for 22nd on a 151 (+7) total.

Fort Lewis’ biggest improvement of the fall? A brand-new Trackman simulator that was purchased and installed on campus, thanks to the incredible generosity of the 2025 Women's Columbine Event and their donation to the Dolly Turner Women's Excellence Fund. The new simulator is housed on campus inside Whalen Gymnasium and Schlessman Family Hall, giving the Skyhawks year-round access to improve their game despite the frigid Colorado weather.
