Wesley, who was named the RMAC and National Football Foundation – Colorado Chapter Player of the Week, helped guide the Fort Lewis College football team to a 23-14 home win last Saturday against Oklahoma Baptist. He carried the ball 22 times for 161 yards and two scores, averaging 7.3 yards per carry. His longest carry of the day went for 63 yards. His first score put FLC on the scoreboard at 13:46 in the second quarter, trailing OBU, 7-6 (missed extra point attempt). His next score gave the Skyhawks a lead they would not relinquish (17-14) with 9:58 left in regulation.
The Skyhawks win was their first home win since Sept. 3, 2011. It also broke an 11-game losing streak. Fort Lewis will open their conference season this Saturday at New Mexico Highlands University.
