Kuchar is coming off a career weekend and two home wins over Western New Mexico University and New Mexico Highlands University. For her efforts, the senior guard was named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week.
On Friday, Kuchar scored a career high 25 points and pulled down a career high 13 rebounds against the Mustangs. She added two assists and a steal and netted all 12 free throw attempts. The next night in a 108-78 win over NMHU, Kuchar set a new career high mark with 28 points after making 10-of-14 field goals, 4-of-6 three point field goals and 4-of-5 free throws.
The Provo, Utah native averaged 26.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.0 steals per game in the weekend sweep. She netted 51.7 percent from the floor (15-of-29), 46.7 percent from long range (7-of-15) and 94.1 percent from the charity stripe (16-of-17).
In 20 games this season, Kuchar is fifth in the league in scoring (16.5 points per game), third in three-point field goals per game (2.3), and fourth in free throw percentage (88.7), assists (4.5 per game), steals (2.1 per game) and minutes played (34.8 per game).
