A native of Gilbert, Ariz., senior forward Kaile Magazzeni blocked seven shots in two road games to open the 2014-15 season.
On Friday in a win at Dallas, Magazzeni blocked three shots and pulled down nine rebounds (eight defensive). She added two steals to go with her seven points. The following night at St. Edward's, she blocked four shots, stole the ball three times and chipped in eight points.
In two games this season, Magazzeni is averaging 7.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 3.5 blocked shots and 2.5 steals. For her efforts, Magazzeni has been named the 2014-15 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week.
