Emily Bryant led the Fort Lewis College women's cross country team to a third place finish in the Skyhawks season opening race Saturday morning at the Adams State University Joe Vigil Open.

Bryant crossed the 5K finish line 12th overall in 19:18.77.  The Skyhawks women's top seven competitors finished within nine places of each other with a packed time of 37 seconds.  

The Skyhawks women's team recorded 80 points to finish behind ASU (15 points) and Colorado Mesa University (59 points).
