Kretzmann showed where he is at to start the season, as the senior pushed for a top-three finish before ending up fourth with a time of 25:15.5. He went at a steady pace of 5:04.8 per mile in the 8k race. He helped lead Fort Lewis to a fourth overall finish (third in Division II) at the Roy Griak hosted by the University of Minnesota. His time would have won the meet the previous two years and it was also a personal best for the senior.
