DURANGO, CO - October 26, 2007 - The Fort Lewis College volleyball team defeated the CSU-Pueblo Thuinderwolves in four games tonight to improve to 18-6 overall and 14-2 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC), while the Thunderwolves fell to 6-18 overall and 4-12 in conference play. The Skyhawks won by scores of 30-23, 27-30, 30-26, and 30-20 in their third match of the season against CSU-Pueblo.
Nicole Schwab (Loveland, CO/Loveland) led the Skyhawks with 14 kills on 30 attempts with just two errors as the Skyhawks cruised to their 18th victory of the season. The senior added six blocks on the night, four of which were solo blocks.
Jessica Bailey (Ridgefield, WA/Prairie), Sara Feehan (Berthoud, CO/West Georgia) and Chelsea Flaming (Durango, CO/Durango) each recorded nine kills to tie for second on the team for the night. Feehan added 14 digs and tied Adrianne Dettler (Colorado Springs, CO/Palmer) for the most on the night.
Melissa Childs (Vista, CA/Rancho Bueno Vista) one again had an error free night with 48 assists.
The Skyhawks return to action tomorrow night against Adams State in their final road match of the regular season. The match is scheduled for a rare 2:00 p.m. start.
