Women's Soccer Drops Second Straight

DURANGO, CO - September 21, 2007 - The Fort Lewis College women's soccer team fell 1-0 to CSU-Pueblo this afternoon in their second loss of the season. The Skyhawks fall to 5-2-2 overall and 2-2-1 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conferece (RMAC), while the Thunderwolves improve to 5-4-0 overalld and 3-2-0 in the RMAC.

After more then 80-minutes of scoreless soccer, the Thunderwolves' Robin Hayes scored her 12th goal of the season on a pass from Brittany Carver with just 9:05 left on the clock.

The Thunderwolves packed nearly their whole team within 10 yards of their own goal box for almost the whole game. They had very few scoring opportunities, but capitalized on one of four shots.

The Skyhawks out-shot Pueblo eight to four and had four more corner kicks.

Fort Lewis returns to action Wednesday, September 26th at 1:00 p.m. against Colorado Christian University on Dirks Field.
