The Fort Lewis College Skyhawks lost 48-7 against powerhouse Chadron State on homecoming. The Skyhawks went down early on a touchdown pass and an interception returned for a touchdown. The Skyhawks fall to 2-6 (1-5 RMAC) with today's loss.
Fort Lewis offensively were outgained 312-133 against the strong Eagles team and the Hawks could only manage 66 and 67 yards rushing and passing respectively. The lone score for the Skyhawks came on a draw play by Quarterback Justin Peters in the fourth quarter.
Next week the Skyhawks will travel to Kearney Nebraska to take on the Lopers of Nebraska-Kearney. The Skyhawks next and final home contest of 2008 will come the following weekend against New Mexico Highlands.
