Fort Lewis Slips Past Regis in Five Sets

The Fort Lewis Volleyball team jumped out to an early, home two sets to none lead over Regis winning the first two sets 25-16 and 25-18.  The Skyhawks faltered in sets three and four losing 25-20 and 25-21 but rallied in the deciding fifth set to win the set and the match 15-11.  With the victory the Skyhawks move to 11-4 on the season and 6-1 in the RMAC.

Jessica Bailey led the Skyhawks in hitting earning 13 kills on 21 attempts and only one error for a .571 hitting percentage.  Chelsea Flaming led the Skyhawks in both kills and digs with 15 and 9.  The Skyhawk setter Melissa Childs again posted a 49 assist game for the second week in a row and Taylor Hillberry led the Hawks in blocks with three total all three solo.

The Skyhawks will take the court again tomorrow night when they take on Colorado Christian at 7 p.m.
