Fort Lewis Men's Soccer Wins Thriller Against Metro State 3-2

The Fort Lewis College biggest and most competitive home contest was played Friday on Halloween with the Skyhawks coming out on top 3-2.  The Skyhawks move to 14-1-3 and 10-0-3 in RMAC play and also clinched home field advantage in the RMAC Playoffs with the win.

The Skyhawks jumped out to an early 1-0 in the fifth minute when Euan Purcell scored on a Tom Settle cross when Purcell headed it into the net.  In the 33rd minute the Skyhawks went ahead 2-0 when Fabian Kling cleaned up after Jamie Cunningham had just hit the far post with a header.  After the Roadrunners tied the game in the second half, the Skyhawks scored the game winning goal when Kyle Wood beat the keeper far post on a Keane Hamilton assist.

The Skyhawks will take on Regis on Sunday in their final home regular season game before hosting the RMAC playoff next weekend.
