Fort Lewis Struggles and Loses to Regis in Three Sets Likely Ending Their 2008 Season

The Fort Lewis College Skyhawks volleyball season likely came to an end today losing to Regis in three sets in Kearney, Nebraska.  The Skyhawks lost the first two sets 25-12 and 25-19. The Skyhawks played spirited volleyball with their season on the line in the third set but fell to the Rangers 26-24.  The Skyhawks finish their season at 18-9.

Chelsea Flaming led the Skyhawks with 14 kills, and added 6 digs and 1 block assist.  Defensively the Skyhawks were led by Katherine Sumrall and Iris Frye who had 13 and 12 digs respectively.  But ultimately the Skyhawks could not stop the trio of Sarah Keiter, Jessica Howe and Kerry Grady who combined for 35 kills for the Rangers more than the Skyhawks had as a team (30).
