The Fort Lewis College Skyhawks opeened their 2008 campaign with a resounding victory over Eastern New Mexico 94-56 at home in the Whalen Gymnasium.  The Skyhawks move to 1-0 on the season and have yet to play a conference game. 

Laura Haugen (above) led the Skyhawks in scoring with 16 points, with Katie Mackey and Janna Santisteven adding 14 and 12 points each respectively.  Mackey also led the Hawks in rebounds with four.  The only other player in double figures for the Skyhawks was pre-season RMAC player of the year Alison Rosel who added 10 points as well.

The Skyhawks will take on Angelo State in there next game which come next Friday the 21st of November in their annual home tournament.  The game time is set for 6 p.m.
