The Fort Lewis College Skyhawks blasted Oklahoma State Panhandle (who beat Mesa State yesterday 65-60) in a record setting fashion Saturday night dominating the Aggies 105-38. The Skyhawks fell one point shy of a team scoring record 106 points set on December 12th, 1986. Fort Lewis however did set one scoring record, margin of victory +63 from 2003, surpassing that number with tonight's margin of victory of +67. The other record almost attained was for number of three pointers made 16, two shy of last season's mark of 18 set against Adams State.
Leading the Skyhawks in scoring was Erin Kerr with 17 points, and adding five assists. Five other Skyhawks also had double figures in scoring Katie Mackey (14), Alison Rosel (10), Laura Haugen (10), Abby Jackson (14) and Dana Schreibvogel with (10). Audrey George again led the Skyhawks in assists with six, adding nine points and 12 rebounds. 11 of 12 Skyhawks scored in the record setting victory.
Following the game the All-Tournament team was announced with Allison Rosel winning tournament MVP honors and Erin Kerr named to the team for her efforts as well. Rounding out the five person team was Alaina Brennan from Mesa State, Ann Parks from Angelo State and Kariz Bioni from Oklahoma State Panhandle. The Skyhawks next opponent will be Rollins on November 28th. The Skyhawks next home game will be on December 3rd, Texas Permian Basin on a Wednesday night.
