Fort Lewis Pulls Away in Second Half and Beats Regis 78-63

Kerr Sets New FLC Three Point Record with 165 Made

The Fort Lewis College Skyhawks played the first close home game of the season leading by only two late in the second half but pulled away at the end to earn their sixth victory of the season.  The Skyhawks move to 6-1 (1-0 RMAC) with the victory and Regis falls to 2-8 (0-1 RMAC). 

Laura Haugen led the charge down the stretch and led the team with 23 points, adding four assists.  Allison Rosel also added 19 points, four rebounds and four assists.  Erin Kerr hit a clutch three pointer with 3:40 left in the game to give the Skyhawks a 12 point lead.  With that particular three she became the all time career leader in three pointers made with 165 three point field goals passing Penny Pierce's 13 year old mark of 164.  Kerr also added six assists to go along with her eight points.

The Skyhawks will be bac in action tomorrow night to take on Metro State at 6 p.m.
