The Fort Lewis College Skyhawks lost a heartbreaker Friday night falling just short to the Mabvericks of Mesa State.  The Skyhawks were previously on a four game winning streak and unbeaten in the conference 3-0 but fell to 3-1 after the loss.

Jessica Bailey led the Skyhawks with 15 kills with Chelsea Flaming and Cora Vorwald adding 12 of thier own. Serving errors played a major role in the Skyhawks loss committing 16 compared to the Mavericks 6.  Melissa Childs again led the Skyhawks in assists with 47.

The Skyhawks will be back in action on Friday September 26th against Western New Mexico and will not return home until October 2nd.
