The Skyhawks were unable to stop their three game losing streak on Saturday when the team fell to 1-4 (0-3) by the score of 35-13. Fort Lewis trailed 28-0 at half but hung tough and finished out the final 30 minutes 13-7. 

The Skyhawks rushing woes continued as well being outrushed by the Mavericks 204-23, though the passing attack outgained the Mavericks by 50 yards 241-193.  Dave Nieman was 17-34 for 158 yards with one rushing touchdown coming at the 07:56 mark of the third quarter.  The Score cut the lead to 28-6.  The Mavericks scored their fifth and final touchdown four minutes later to put the game out of reach, The Skyhawks scored on a 61 yard pass from Justin Peters to Justin Garman in the fourth but it was too little too late.

The Skyhawks will play next at home on Saturday against Western State at noon.
