October 30, 2009. Durango, CO - The Fort Lewis Volleyball team improved to 8-16 overall and 6-10 in the RMAC after beating CSU-Pueblo in 3 sets. This is a big win for the Skyhawks after losing to the Thunderwolves earlier this season in Pueblo.

In the first set the Skyhawks came out ready to attack winning 25-17. Losing no momentum Fort Lewis dominated once again in the second set 25-15. The Skyhawks ended the match in the third set 25-17. 

Durango native Jessica Wilson let the Hawks' with 10 kills as Chelsea Flaming tallied 8 and Taylor Hilberry followed with 7.  Wilson ended both the first and second set with an ace serve. Kelly McDonald had a big night defensively for the Skyhawks recording 12 digs. Setter Adriana Saiz distributed 28 assists in the match. The Skyhawks recorded 8 aces and 8 blocks to CSU-Pueblo's 3 aces and 1 block.

The Skyhawks will take on Adams State College (11-12 overall, 8-7 RMAC) tomorrow evening at 7PM in Whalen Gymnasium.
