On a warm spring afternoon in Colorado Springs, the Fort Lewis women's lacrosse team found themselves on the wrong end of an 18-5 defeat at the hands of Colorado College.
The first year program lost to the 8-1 Tigers, again digging themselves in an insurmountable hole in the first half, this time trailing 9-2 at the break.
A bright spot for the Skyhawks was the play of
Ashley Perkins, who amassed two of the five Fort Lewis goals in the contest. Fort Lewis goalkeepers
Chelsea Stevens and
Nic Laros split duties and made five and two saves respectively.
Fort Lewis is now 0-6 for the season, and will face Pacific University (3-2) on Monday at noon in Colorado Springs before having their first ever home game on the Fort Lewis College campus on April 3rd against Regis.
