Wilson leads the way with seven kills

Box Score

ALAMOSA, Colo. — Adams State (9-4 overall, 3-2 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference) swept Fort Lewis (3-9, 0-3) 25-15, 25-21, 25-21 tonight in Plachy Hall.

The Grizzlies used strong performances from Megan Tapia (11 kills), Dominique Davis (10 kills, nine digs), A.J. Palmer (20 digs), and Gabrielle Rifilato (36 assists) in the sweep.

“Again we were able to compete with a really good team,” said eighth-year FLC head coach Shelly Aaland. “Adams is much improved from the past. But we weren't able to finish. We have to figure out a way to get results with the young team that we have.”

Senior outside hitter Jessica Wilson led the way for the Skyhawks with seven kills and two blocks. Sophomore libero Jenna Kinzer had 13 digs.

The Skyhawks play at Colorado Mesa (4-9, 0-4) at 6:00 p.m. Sunday.
