Box Score DURANGO, Colo. – After playing back-to-back five-set matches, the Fort Lewis College volleyball team fell in three sets to Regis University Saturday evening at Whalen Gymnasium. RU won by set scores of 25-13, 25-22 and 25-8.
Fort Lewis falls to 6-16 overall and 6-7 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference while Regis improves to 13-9 overall and 9-4 in the RMAC.
The Skyhawks were held to a .079 hitting percentage after registering 27 kills on 101 attempts (19 errors). They also recorded five reception errors.
Heather Danny recorded 22 of the Skyhawks 24 set assists.
Kristin Stephan led the Skyhawks at the net with five kills and no errors on 12 attempts (.417 hitting percentage).
Regis hit a solid .418 offensively, committing only six errors on 91 attempts (44 kills). Kate Klein led both teams with 13 kills and a .478 hitting percentage.
Fort Lewis will make their final road trip of the regular season when they travel to Adams State and Western State Nov. 1-2.
