Madi Bickle recorded a match high 13 kills on 22 attempts (three errors) to hit a blistering .455 to lead the Fort Lewis College volleyball team to a 3-0 win over Adams State University Saturday night in Whalen Gymnasium.
The Skyhawks straight-set win was their first of the season – 25-10, 25-23, 25-21. The match win improves them to 11-3 overall and 3-3 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
Ashley Wells matched Bickle with a match high 13 kills. As a team, the Skyhawks hit .181.
Heather Danny distributed a match high 32 set assists, dug up four attacks and blocked two more.
Jenna Kinzer's 17 digs was a match high.
The Grizzlies committed 25 hitting errors to their 28 kills to post a .028 hitting percentage. The loss is their second straight of the season as they move to 6-8 overall and 4-2 in the RMAC.
Fort Lewis will be on the road the next four matches, beginning next Friday and Saturday at Black Hills State and Chadron State, respectively.
