"We get into some early season funks," said Fort Lewis College head women's basketball coach Jason Flores.  "We weren't scoring well.  This time was a little better.  We still took some bad shots and missed some high percentage shots.  I'm just glad defensively that we held them to 27 points in the first half."

UCCS' Abby Kirchoff led all scorers with 27 points.  Five of her eight field goals came from long range.

The Skyhawks will play host to CSU-Pueblo Saturday night at Whalen Gymnasium.  Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
