GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – October 14, 2014 – Playing against the No. 16 team in Division II, the Fort Lewis College volleyball team fell in three sets at Colorado Mesa University Tuesday night (15-25, 11-25, 19-25).
Fort Lewis was held to a .010 hitting percentage as they totaled 23 kills on 100 attempts with 22 hitting errors.
Ashley Wells led the Skyhawks with nine kills followed by
Shelby Lehman's five. Senior setter
Heather Danny accounted for 15 of the Skyhawks 23 set assists. Wells and All Dell'Amico recorded seven digs each while
Madi Bickle assisted on five blocks.
Melissa Hess posted a match high 13 kills for CMU and Erin Perez added 10. CMU dug up 53 attacks and blocked nine. Jordyn Moody collected 38 assists on 43 kills by CMU.
The Skyhawks will return home Friday night to Whalen Gymnasium to host Adams State University at 7 p.m.
