Skyhawks Volleyball Game Day Notes - Oct. 20, 2014Scouting the MountaineersSkyhawks will host Western State Colorado University on Friday. Â The last time the two teams met was Oct. 3 in Gunnison, Colo. Â Fort Lewis won that meeting, 3-2. Â FLC was leading the match, 3-2, before WSCU came back to tie the match, 2-2. Â FLC would go on to win the fifth set, 15-12, for their first win of the conference season.
Jordan Eatwell and Taylor Castillo lead the Mountaineers offense. Â Eatwell has a team high 2.45 kills per set and it hitting at a .089 clip. Â Castillo is averaging 2.40 kills per set with a .164 hitting percentage.
Crystal Powell (32 blocks) and Hailey Rehage (28 blocks) lead the Mountaineers defense at the net, while Morgan Stansberry owns a team high 232 digs.
Under the direction of first year head coach Kevin John the Mountaineers seek their first victory of the season (0-16, 0-12 RMAC).Â
Scouting the ThunderwolvesOn Saturday, the Skyhawks will face Colorado State University-Pueblo. Â In their first meeting this season, the Pack handed the Skyhawks a 3-1 setback.
The Thunderwolves are ranked second in the conference in blocks. Â They are led by Oni Lattin's 102 blocks and Alex Winkler's 92 blocks. Lattin is ranked fourth in the league in blocks.
The Pack is 3-5 on the road this year.
Individually SpeakingSeveral Skyhawks are ranked in the top 25 in the league. Â
Madi Bickle's .215 hitting percentage is 21st in the RMAC and her 68 blocks are the 10th most in the league.
Shelby Lehman has 57 blocks, ranking her 17th overall.
Ashley Wells is 11th in the RMAC in kills with 228 (3.00 kills per game), and 21st overall in digs (232, 3.05 digs per set).
Ally Dell'Amico has the fourth most digs in the RMAC. Â She has 377 digs this season, an average of 4.77 digs per set. Â Her 21 aces are the 15th most in the league.

Vs. CMUPlaying against the No. 16 team in Division II, the Fort Lewis College volleyball team fell in three sets at Colorado Mesa University Tuesday night (15-25, 11-25, 19-25).

Fort Lewis was held to a .010 hitting percentage as they totaled 23 kills on 100 attempts with 22 hitting errors. Â
Ashley Wells led the Skyhawks with nine kills followed by
Shelby Lehman's five. Â Senior setter
Heather Danny accounted for 15 of the Skyhawks 23 set assists. Â Wells and All Dell'Amico recorded seven digs each while
Madi Bickle assisted on five blocks.
Vs. ASUDespite losing the first two sets of the match against Adams State University, the Fort Lewis College volleyball team battled back to tie the match, 2-2. Â The Grizzlies would come back to win the fifth set and hand the Skyhawks a 3-2 loss (19-25, 22-25, 25-18, 25-19, 13-15).

Ashley Wells leading both teams with a match high 20 kills. Â
Emily Dellenbach added 13 kills and
Mallory Dill chipped in 12. Â

Ally Dell'Amico added a match high four aces and a match high 24 digs, followed by Wells' 18 digs.
