DURANGO, Colo. – October 2, 2015 – Playing in front of a home crowd of 523, the Fort Lewis College volleyball team came close to upsetting the 18
th ranked team in the nation, Colorado School of Mines, Friday night at Whalen Gymnasium. Only 11 points separated all three sets as the Orediggers posted a 3-0 win (25-19, 25-22, 29-27).
Ally Dell'Amico led the defensive effort from Fort Lewis, notching a match high 16 digs.
Matisse Monty added 12 digs to go with her team high eight kills.
Delaney Scanlan tabbed 15 assists along with
Kendra Swackenberg's 11 assists and five digs.
Megan Peterson led both teams with 13 kills.
The Skyhawks hit .098 at the net and totaled seven team blocks.
FLC will be back in action Saturday against Colorado Christian University at Whalen Gymnasium. First serve will go out at 5 p.m.
