Seven of the Skyhawks last nine matches have been played at Whalen Gymnasium.  Five of the Skyhawks last seven regular season matches will be played away from Whalen Gymnasium.

The Fort Lewis College volleyball team won their first home match of the season Saturday against Westminster College, 3-0.  Saturday's match was the first time the Skyhawks played the Griffins in program history.

Against the Griffins, the Skyhawks set several highs for a three-set match this season, including most kills (47), most assists (41) and most digs (58).

Individually, freshman Matisse Monty recorded team highs for a three-set match with 13 kills, 37 attempts and 15.5 points.  Delaney Scanlan added a match high with 32 assists.  She also added nine kills, eight digs and one ace.  Gabriella Hickman tallied 10 kills and committed only two errors on 24 attempts for a .333 hitting percentage.  She had the second most digs on the team with 12.

The Skyhawks will hit the road this weekend as they start a four-match road trip.  FLC will travel to Spearfish, S.D. on Friday to face the Black Hills State Yellow Jackets, followed by a Saturday afternoon match at South Dakota School of Mines & Technology in Rapid City, S.D.

Friday's match will only be the fourth meeting between the two schools.  FLC holds a 3-0 series lead over Black Hills State.  The first (and last) time the Skyhawks played at BHSU was Oct. 11, 2013 (FLC won, 3-2).

The Yellow Jackets enter the weekend in sixth place in the RMAC Rocky Division, and 12th overall.  BHSU is 6-13 overall and 3-8 in league matches.

South Dakota School of Mines & Technology is in their first year as a full member of the RMAC.  The Hardrockers and Fort Lewis have met one other time in program history: Oct. 17, 1987.  The Skyhawks won the match under then-head coach Marcy Jung.

South Dakota Tech owns a 6-15 overall record and a 2-9 RMAC record.  They are sitting in seventh place in the RMAC Rocky Division and are in a four-way tie for 13th place in the overall standings.

Junior libero Ally Dell'Amico has the sixth most digs per set in the RMAC with 4.56 (324 total).

Freshman Matisse Monty has served 24 aces this season, the seventh most in the league.
