DENVER – May 2, 2015 – The Fort Lewis College women's lacrosse team led by as many as three goals in the first half at Regis University in the semifinal game of the 2015 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Women's' Lacrosse Championship Tournament, but Regis outscored the Skyhawks in the second half, 6-2, to post a 15-11 win.  The Skyhawks end their 2015 season with a 9-5 overall record (4-2 RMAC).

Regis netted the first goal of the game before Jam Vertner and Rebecca Miller scored back-to-back goals within 30 seconds to take a 2-1 lead.  Regis knotted the game at 22:28  but Taylor Cabrera and Carly Smoke scored unassisted goals to regain the lead for Fort Lewis College, 4-2, with 20:44 left in the first half.  Vertner would score two more goals for a hat trick in the first half, combined with Brooke Galle's back-to-back goals, Carly Smoke's goal and Miller's second of the half for a 9-6 Skyhawks advantage.  Regis closed out the half scoring three goals in the final minute to tie the game heading into halftime, 9-9.

Regis broke the lead less than two minutes into the second half but Miller posted her third goal of the game to tie the match at 10-10.  The Rangers Emily Behr scored her fourth goal of the game and the game-winning goal with 24:24 left in regulation.  Cabrera added the Skyhawks 11th goal of the game but FLC fell short, 15-11.

Vertner and Miller combined for six of the Skyhawks 11 goals.  Cabrera and Galle added two each.  All four of Vertner's shots landed on goal.  Ellie Carpenter won five of the Skyhawks 10 draw controls.  Ally Guerrero made 12 saves in goal to finish the season with a 4-3 record.
