LAS VEGAS, N.M. – November 11, 2016 –
Hannah Martinez led the Fort Lewis College volleyball team with 15 kills and a .262 hitting percentage in their final match of the season. The Skyhawks suffered a 3-1 setback Friday night at New Mexico Highlands University.
The loss ends the Skyhawks season at 6-20 overall and 5-13 in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference matches. The Cowgirls end their season with a 7-16 overall record and 4-14 league mark.
FLC lost the first set, 25-10, before tying the match after set two, 25-23. The Cowgirls took sets three and four to win the match, -17, -14.
Bailey Longacre added 10 kills and assisted on four blocks.
Emily Dellenbach chipped in nine kills and hit .296 at the net after committing only one error on 27 attempts.
Kendra Swackenberg posted 38 assists to go with her two aces, seven digs and five kills. The back line was led by
Ally Dell'Amico who notched 22 digs.
The Skyhawks finished the match with 52 kills, six aces and eight blocks.
