COLORADO SPRINGS – November 2, 2016 – For the second time in less than a week, the Fort Lewis College men's soccer team fell to the University of Colorado Colorado Springs, 1-0. The loss comes in the first round of the 2016 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Men's Soccer championship tournament.
The Skyhawks were seeded No. 6 in the tournament. No. 3 seed UCCS will face No. 2 seed Regis in the semifinal round.
The only goal of the game was scored in the 41
st minute by Jake McAllister.
Fort Lewis recorded 17 shot attempts to the Mountain Lions 13 shots. Both teams landed five shots on goal.
Dana Kowachek led the Skyhawks with five shots (two shots on goal).
Raul Pescador and
Salifu Jatta each added four shots.
Elliot Chadderton made four saves between the posts in 90 minutes of action.
With the loss, the Skyhawks end their season 9-9-1 overall.
