NOTES
The Skyhawks will head to Las Vegas, N.M. to play their final match of the regular season Friday night. This will be the Skyhawks second meeting with the Cowgirls in two weeks. FLC won the first match at home on Oct. 28, 3-0.
FLC is coming off a 1-2 weekend at home. The Skyhawks fell to Colorado Christian University and No. 22 Colorado School of Mines, 3-0, before defeating Westminster College in five sets Monday night.
Fort Lewis recorded several match highs this season against the Griffins, including most kills in a math (71) and most set assists in a match (66).
Bailey Longacre's 18 kills were a season high for a Skyhawk, and
Hannah Martinez' 15 kills were the second most in a match this season.
Kendra Swackenberg also tallied a season high for the Skyhawks with 57 assists.
Fort Lewis is tied for 12
th place in the conference standings with a 5-11 league mark (6-19 overall).
The Skyhawks are second in the RMAC in service aces, averaging 1.43 aces per set.
Ally Dell'Amico is fifth in the league in service aces with 25 aces, and sixth in digs with 415.
Delaney Scanlan's 18 service aces are the sixth most in the league.
Longacre leads the Skyhawks offense with 1.89 kills per set and a .181 hitting mark. Swackenberg is averaging a team high 6.29 assists per set while
Laine Waters has totaled 70 blocks at the net.
THE SERIES
The Skyhawks lead the all-time series against New Mexico Highlands University, 47-34, including the sweep at home two weeks ago. FLC has won six of the last eight meetings. The Skyhawks last win over NMHU was a 3-1 victory on the road last season on Oct. 9, 2015. FLC holds a 20-14 series lead when playing NMHU on their home court.
SCOUTING THE COWGIRLS
New Mexico Highlands is one spot behind the Skyhawks in the league standings with a 3-13 league mark (6-15 overall). The Cowgirls are 3-4 at home this season. Their 3-1 match win over Westminster College last Friday snapped an 11-match losing streak.
Caroline Hansen leads the Cowgirls offense with 2.79 kills per match. Shayli Schulz has accounted for 722 set assists. Defensively, Bryanna Lopez has a team high 391 digs.
