Volleyball Splits on Final Day of Aggies Challenge

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 GOODWELL, Okla. – September 2, 2017 – The Fort Lewis College volleyball team won their third straight match of the season Saturday morning with a 3-0 win over Oklahoma Panhandle State University at the OPSU Aggies Challenge.
 
The Skyhawks winning streak ended with a 3-1 setback to Northwestern Oklahoma State University.
 
In Saturday's morning match, Bailey Longacre hit a solid .333 after putting down 10 kills and committing only three errors on 21 attempts.  She also assisted on six blocks as FLC finished the match with nine team blocks.
 
Kendra Swackenberg was responsible for 27 of the Skyhawks 33 assists.  Megan Graefe also chipped in five assists and 16 digs
 
In the tournament finale, FLC dropped the first set, 25-21 before tying the match with a 25-22 win.  NOSU won the final two sets, 25-22 and 25-19.
 
Maddie LeBlanc posted 11 kills and Emily Dellenbach added 10.  LeBlanc hit .455 at the net and added three blocks and two digs.  Dellenbach posted a .364 hitting mark, committing only two errors on 22 attempts.
 
Kendra Swackenberg set the Skyhawks for 39 kills to go with her three kills and four digs.  Four Skyhawks notched at least 11 digs.  Megan Graefe led both teams with 32 digs.
 
Taylor Knoll accounted for four of the Skyhawks five aces.
 
FLC hit .123 for the match and blocked eight attempts.
 
The Skyhawks will travel to Bolivar, Mo. Sept. 8-9 for the Southwest Baptist Invitational.
