DURANGO, Colorado — Fort Lewis College Athletics was informed on Friday that Tricia Melfy has resigned from her position as Head Volleyball Coach, effective immediately.

"I have accepted Coach Melfy's letter of resignation," said Fort Lewis College Director of Athletics, Brandon Leimbach. "FLC Athletics wishes Coach Melfy the best in her future endeavors."

Melfy, the eighth head coach in program history, served two seasons as the head coach of the Skyhawks, finishing with a 19-31 overall record. She helped the program to the RMAC Tournament in 2018, it's first appearance since 2013. The Skyhawks finished 10-17 overall and 6-12 in the RMAC in 2019.

A national search will begin immediately to identify FLC Athletics next Head Volleyball Coach.
