KANSAS CITY, Missouri The Fort Lewis College men's soccer program has been named a recipient of the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award, announced last week by the United Soccer Coaches organization.

Fort Lewis was one of 356 men's soccer programs across the country to post a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2019-2020 academic year.

The Skyhawks finished with a 3.41 team GPA for the 2019-2020 academic school year, marking the fourth straight year the team has been recognized by the USC during the tenure of FLC head men's soccer coach, David Oberholtzer.

FLC was one of two men's collegiate programs in the state (Colorado College), and one of three Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) members to receive the award, joined by Regis University and Westminster College.
