Citron tabbed D2CCA Third-Team All-American

DURANGO, Colo. – On Tuesday, the Division II Conference Commissioner's Association released its All-America teams, with Fort Lewis men's soccer's David Citron earning a Third-Team selection.
 
Citron doubles down on All-America honors after being named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-America® First Team earlier today and becomes the program's 18th D2CCA All-America selection and second in as many years following Anton Hjalmarsson's selection last season.
 
The five-foot-eight midfielder adds to his impressive 2024 resume that includes CSC First-Team Academic All-American D2CCA First-Team All-Region, CSC Academic All-District, First-Team All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, RMAC Academic Player of the Year, and the RMAC Summit Award winner.
 
A graduate of Lycée de la Venise Verte and a native of Toulouse, France, Citron burst onto the scene this season to start in all 24 matches played for Fort Lewis, amassing 1,653 minutes on the pitch.
 
Citron tallied seven goals and ten assists this year for 24 total points, a mark that's good for the third-most points in the RMAC, the fourth-most in the south-central region, and the 38th-most in NCAA Division II. In addition, his ten assists are good for the 13th-most in DII. In addition, Citron posted two five-point performances scoring two goals and dishing one assist against Lubbock Christian (Sep. 5) and South Dakota Mines (Oct. 11). He also had a four-point performance at MSU Denver (Oct. 27) with one goal and two assists.
 
In total Citron has started in 28 of his 44 career matches at Fort Lewis for 2,324 minutes, scoring nine goals and handing out 15 assists for 33 career points.
