Wong announces additions to 2025 volleyball roster

DURANGO, Colo. – Fort Lewis College head volleyball coach Justin Wong has announced the addition of seven student-athletes to the 2025 roster, including two transfers and five true freshmen. The class brings a blend of collegiate experience and promising prep talent as Wong enters his first season at the helm of the Skyhawks program.
 


Ellie Ames
6-0 | Middle Blocker | Trinidad State College | Delta, Colorado
Ames joins the Skyhawks following a successful two-year stint at Trinidad State College (NJCAA), where she recorded 455 kills, 100 service aces, and a .272 hitting percentage. A standout at Delta High School, she was named 3A Western Slope League Player of the Year and earned First Team All-State honors. In addition to her volleyball accolades, Ames was a four-year letterwinner in basketball and a First Team All-State selection on the court.

"We're excited to welcome Ellie to the Skyhawks. Her versatility in playing both middle and right side, along with her well-rounded skill set, will be a great asset to our team."

 


Alyx Daugherty
5-8 | Libero/Defensive Specialist | Highland High School | Mesa, Arizona
Daugherty arrives in Durango after a four-year career at Highland High School, where she was named All-Region Defensive Player of the Year in her senior season. A three-year team captain, she notched a career-high 30 digs in a single match and tallied 430 digs as a senior, averaging 3.8 digs per set.

Coach Wong on Daugherty:
"We're thrilled to welcome Alyx to the team. Her experience competing at a high level, combined with her athleticism, will be a great asset to our back court and elevate our overall defensive presence."

 


Cambria Freymuth
6-0 | Outside Hitter | Hebron High School | Carrollton, Texas
Freymuth brings power and depth to the outside hitter position, coming off a successful career at Hebron High School, where she earned three varsity letters and helped lead the team to a perfect 14-0 district record as a senior. She competes for Texas Advantage Volleyball during the club season.

Coach Wong on Freymuth:
"Her experience as a six-rotation outside hitter and her ability to contribute at both pins make her a valuable addition to our program. Texas produces top-tier volleyball talent, and we're thrilled she's chosen to become a Skyhawk."

 


Adalyn Garn
5-8 | Setter | Southern New Hampshire University | Gilbert, Arizona
Garn transfers in from NCAA Division II Southern New Hampshire University, where she averaged 6.91 assists per set as a freshman and helped guide her team to a .277 hitting percentage. She earned All-Rookie Team recognition along with two Rookie of the Week and one Setter of the Week honors. At Highland High School, Garn tallied 1,168 career assists across four seasons and was a four-year member of the beach volleyball team.

"Addie will be a great addition to our program. Her experience at Southern New Hampshire, where she played a key role in helping her team hit an impressive .277 on the season, will bring immediate value to our offense."

 


Caroline Munson
5-10 | Middle Blocker/Right Side | Highland High School | Gilbert, Arizona
Munson adds depth and versatility to the Skyhawks' front row after an accomplished career at Highland High School. She led the team in hitting percentage each season, including an outstanding .441 as a senior, and helped her squad to an overall record of 82-36. Munson was also named to the 6A All-Academic Team every year of her high school career.

"Caroline's versatility as a middle blocker and right side, along with her quickness, will be a great asset to our program. We're excited to see how she helps elevate our level of play."

 


Arianna Reyna
5-6 | Setter | Forney High School | Forney, Texas
Reyna brings leadership and court awareness to the setter position, wrapping up her high school career with 1,683 assists, 142 service aces, 606 digs, and 119 kills. A team captain at Forney High School, she earned First Team All-District and Academic All-District honors while leading her team to a 25-13 record as a senior.

Coach Wong on Reyna:
"Ari, also joining us from Texas, brings an exciting level of athleticism to the court. Her quickness and smart decision-making will be a strong addition to our program."

 


Caleigh Sommers
6-0 | Outside Hitter | Castle View High School | Castle Rock, Colorado
Sommers joins the Skyhawks following a four-year varsity career at Castle View High School, where she played both middle blocker and right side. She also competes with Monument Volleyball Club and served as team captain for the 18-1 squad.

Coach Wong on Sommers:
"We're excited to add another Coloradan to the team and look forward to her offensive skills raising the level of competition in our gym."
