COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Following a standout weekend at the Royce Cappis Invitational, Fort Lewis College volleyball senior Alina Nunez and sophomore Alyx Daugherty have been named Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) Players of the Week, announced by the league on Monday.

Nunez earned RMAC Offensive Player of the Week, while Daugherty was selected as the RMAC Defensive Player of the Week after helping the Skyhawks to a successful weekend in Pueblo.

Nunez put together an impressive four-match stretch, totaling 52 kills across 15 sets while hitting .381. The senior averaged 3.47 kills per set and added 35 digs, five blocks, three service aces, and three assists to finish the weekend with 57.5 points.

Her weekend was highlighted by a 14-kill performance against Florida Tech in which she hit .480. Nunez followed with a weekend-high 18 kills against CSU Pueblo. She reached double figures in kills in each of the final three matches of the tournament.

On the defensive side, Daugherty continued to establish herself as one of the league's premier liberos. The sophomore totaled 72 digs across 15 sets, good for an average of 4.80 digs per set, while adding eight service aces and 15 assists.

Daugherty's biggest performance came in Fort Lewis' four-set win over (RV) Minnesota Duluth, where she erupted for 29 digs. The total ranked fifth in program history for a four-set match. She closed out the tournament with another impressive effort against CSU Pueblo, collecting 26 digs.

The Skyhawks competed against Minnesota Duluth, Adelphi, Florida Tech, and CSU Pueblo during the two-day tournament.

The weekly awards mark the first of the season for both Nunez and Daugherty. Daugherty earned player of the week honors in 2025, and Nunez picked up the first of her career.
