Biography

2018: Benson saw action in all 14 games during the 2018 season, starting 10. She recorded 11 goals, two assists, added 11 ground balls, four draw controls and eight caused turnovers. Of her 28 shots, 24 landed on goal for a solid .857 shooting percentage. Benson had three multi-goal games, going for a high of three against CSU-Pueblo. She tallied three ground balls on two different occasions and forced three turnovers in two different games.

2017: Competed in all 16 games and started 15 … Finished the season netting 18 goals and adding seven assists … Recorded four games with two goals each … Assisted on four goals and scored two on April 7 against Adams State … 28 of her 33 shots landed on goals … Won 17 ground balls and three draw controls … Picked up five ground balls on April 13 against UCCS.

HIGH SCHOOL: 2016 graduate of Carlsbad High School … Four-year starter as an attacker and midfielder for the Lancers … All-CIF-SDS honorable mention … Voted all-star for CIF-SDS in 2013 and 2014
