Biography

2020-21 Season: Ahuna started all 13 matches at setter for the Skyhawks during the abbreviated 2021 spring season, finishing with 390 assists in 46 sets played (8.48 A/S). The junior transfer also added 17 kills and eight service aces, while tallying 98 digs and three block assists, defensively.

Previous: Ahuna produced a strong sophomore season at Eastern Arizona College, leading the team in assists with 622 in 103 sets played (6.04 assists per set). She added 233 digs and 36 service aces.

Coach Tarnauskaite: "I'm tough on setters because I feel like they are a reflection of the team on the court, so I have high expectations. Makena is a very instinctive player. What drew me to her was her high volleyball IQ. She sees the court very well; she reads well and she is very athletic. She can get to very difficult passes and make it look easy."
