Bud Andersen begins his 16th season as head golf coach at Fort Lewis College, where he guiding the Skyhawks to NCAA Division II Super RegionalsĀ in 2004, '06 and '07.
He was hired on May 9, 1997, replacing FLC Hall of Fame coach and administratorĀ Troy Bledsoe, who retired after 21 years as head coach.

In the fall of 2004, Andersen guided theĀ Skyhawks to the RMAC championship, earningĀ the sixth RMAC golf title in Fort Lewis history.

In the spring of 2004, the Skyhawks finished second at NCAA Super Regionals ā the highest Super Regional finish in school history.

Andersen was a former standout for the Skyhawks. He was a four-year letterman for the FLC Raiders from 1989 to 1992, andĀ was an intregal part of Bledsoe's 1991-92 team that won Colorado Athletic Conference and NAIA District VII championships and advanced to the NAIA National Championships. Andersen earned All-RMIGA and All-NAIA District VII honors that season.

He is a 1996 graduate of Fort Lewis College with a bachelor's degree in business administration.

Following graduation, Andersen attended a PGA Level I business school in Portland, Ore., in 1997.Ā He is the assistant golf pro at Hillcrest Golf Club in Durango.

AndersenĀ graduated from Boulder High School in 1984, competing in golf and alpine skiing for the Knights.

Anderson and his wife have a daughter and reside in Durango.
