Jim Foltz

Jim Foltz was promoted from interim head coach to Head Golf Coach of the women's and men's teams in March 2019. He has spent five years with the program after serving as the Associate coach the past three seasons and spent the first season as the Assistant coach.

Foltz' primary responsibilities for both programs include strength and conditioning, recruiting, daily practice sessions and acting as head coach for one of the programs when both teams are competing on the same weekend.

Foltz spent the 2013 and 2014 seasons as an assistant coach for Kirk Rawles and the Durango High School boy's golf programs, guiding the Demons to back-to-back state tournament appearances.

In October 2009, Foltz retired as Command Chief Master Sergeant, closing out a 29-year career in the United States Air Force, reaching a rank only the top one percent of Airmen obtain.  Foltz oversaw more than 6,000 airmen and served for three one-star Generals.

A native of Vacaville, Calif., Foltz and his wife of 29 years, Meg, adopted four siblings in 2001 – Kevin, Sebastian, Shaianne and Chantel.  Kevin, 24, is a Marine and is currently stationed at Camp Pendleton, Calif.  Sebastian (22) lives in Colorado Springs.  Shaianne (20) lives at home, having recently completed 10 months with AmeriCorps, and will head to City Year Tulsa in July. Chantel (19) is a freshman at Fort Lewis College, majoring in Exercise Physiology.
