Hawken Hanna embarks on his second season as a full-time assistant in 2023.
Hanna officially joined the coaching staff in 2022 after serving as a volunteer assistant in 2021. As a volunteer, Hanna helped the Skyhawks to an 8-8-1 overall record and a 5-5 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference mark.
Prior to Fort Lewis Hanna was the head coach of the Central Community College Raiders in Grand Island, Nebraska. He helped guide the Raiders to a 24-23-2 regular season record across his tenure with three post-season appearances.
Hanna began his coaching career at Trinidad State Junior College. He joined the Trojans as an assistant coach in 2015 for both the men's and women's programs. Following the departure of the women's head coach in 2016, Hanna served in the interim head coach position to aid in the department's transition and hire a new coach before leaving to continue his education.
He graduated with his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a minor in Business Administration from Adams State University in 2014.
