Hix joined the staff as a student assistant coach for the 2022-23 season.

Hix, a senior Sociology and English major with minors in Coaching and History, is also a member of the Skyhawks cheerleading team. A multi-sport prep athlete, she competed in basketball (three years), volleyball (three years), and tennis (four years) at Moriarty High School in Moriarty, New Mexico.
