Kiselya Salcedo will officially assume her duties as the Skyhawks Assistant Women's Golf Coach in the fall of 2024.
A native of Cortez, Colorado, Salcedo grew up playing golf throughout the Four Corners area. After an accomplished junior golf and high school career, Salcedo attended Weber State University where she competed for the Wildcats NCAA Division I women's golf team. She represented the Wildcats in 20 career tournaments and posted a 75.95 career single-round average. Salcedo found her best career finish when she took home first place at the New Mexico State Aggie Invitational after carding three straight rounds of 71 and finishing three-under-par. She later graduated from Weber State with her Bachelor of Arts in History in 2021.
After graduation, Salcedo spent time working in the Utah Section of the Professional Golf Association and the Pacific Northwest Golf Association. She returned to Durango and the Four Corners area in June of 2024 to begin pursuing her PGA Class A certification and to teach golf full-time. Salcedo is also a staff instructor at Elevated Golf Academy down at Dalton Ranch and loves sharing her knowledge about the game with golfers of all ages. She especially enjoys working with young athletes and watching them develop both on and off the course.
