Gabriella Hochanadel

Gabriella Hochanadel joined the Skyhawks volleyball program as the assistant coach in March 2015.
 
After graduating from Adams State University in May 2014, Hochanadel became the assistant volleyball coach at Neosho County Community College in Chanute, Kan.  She assisted in recruiting, game analysis, stat analysis, travel, strength and conditioning, and coaching, as well as serving as a mathematics tutor and fitness class instructor.
 
Hochanadel spent three seasons competing for the Adams State University Grizzlies from 2011-2013 as the starting setter.  She was named the 2012 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Setter of the Year and earned All-RMAC Second Team honors in 2012 and 2013.  Hochanadel was also named all-region in 2012 and Academic All-RMAC in 2012 (Second Team) and 2013 (Honor Roll).
 
A six-time RMAC Setter of the Week, Hochanadel was named RMAC Preseason Setter of the Year in 2012 and 2013, and was named to the 2013 All-RMAC Tournament Team. 
 
Hochanadel finished her playing career with the Grizzlies competing in 88 matches and 332 sets.  She totaled 3,504 set assists, averaging more than 10.5 assists per game.  She totaled 121 service aces in three years and led the RMAC in aces in 2012 (50) and 2011 (43).
 
Hochanadel spent the 2010 season at North Idaho College in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, where she helped NIC to a 29-7 overall record and a fifth place finish in the national tournament.
 
She graduated from Bayfield High School in 2010 where she earned first team all-league honors in 2007, 2008 and 2009.  A two-time conference MVP, she earned honorable mention all-state honors in 2008 and second team all-state in 2009.  Hochanadel played for coach Rifilato at Bayfield High School and on the Four Corners Volleyball Club in Durango.
 
Hochanadel replaces Temple Levings who resigned from her assistant coach position in January 2015.

Gabriella is the daughter of head coach Kelley Rifilato and the Skyhawks defensive coordinator Ed Rifilato.

Formerly known as Gabriella Rifilato, she was married this past December to Joe Hochanadel.
