Robin Dalton enters her first year as Assistant AD for Compliance and third year overall with the Skyhawks in 2023.
Dalton, a Missoula, Montana native, takes on a new role within the department after serving as the assistant volleyball coach for the past two seasons. In addition, she has been in the interim as the Internal Operations and Compliance Director since early March.
Dalton began her seven-year legal career as a Legal Assistant and Paralegal in 2002. Within that role, she spent an extensive amount of time coordinating patent and legal database searches and preparing comprehensive reports for supervising attorneys. Dalton also devoted time to coordinating information for patent portfolio growth, processing deliverables from outside counsel, supporting an internal team of patent, trademark, and litigation professionals, and maintaining physical and electronic files.
Within her role, Dalton’s duties will include serving on the Fort Lewis College Athletic Department senior leadership team, managing the NCAA Division II compliance program, oversight in the areas of internal operations, NCAA and RMAC reporting, and coordinating student-athlete welfare initiatives and academic success programs.
Those who have attended Skyhawks sporting events this season could also find Dalton managing the hospitality areas, cheering on our programs, or coaching from the sidelines throughout the volleyball season.
As a volleyball student-athlete, Dalton began her collegiate playing career at the University of Tulsa before transferring to the University of Idaho where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Public Communications. After being sidelined due to injury, Dalton finished her volleyball career at Ithaca College (NCAA Division III), earning AVCA All-Region honors in her senior year while completing her Bachelor of Science in Sports Studies. She went on to earn her Paralegal Certifications from West Valley College.
Dalton resides in Durango with her husband, daughter, and their four furry children.
