Mary Brinton averaged a double-double this past weekend in the Skyhawks split at Chadron State College (W, 77-59) and Black Hills State University (L, 59-52), recording 17.5 points and 10.0 rebounds per game. She finished the weekend netting 55.6 percent from the floor (10-of-18) and 75 percent from the free throw line (15-of-20).
Brinton was also tabbed the RMAC Offensive Player of the Week after her performance on the road this past weekend.
On Friday against the Eagles, Brinton made 7-of-10 field goals for a season high 21 points. She pulled down eight rebounds and blocked one shot.
The following night against the Yellow Jackets, Brinton recorded her second double-double of the season with 14 points and 12 rebounds. She added two blocked shots and two steals. Eight of her 14 points on Saturday came from the charity stripe.
Brinton leads the league in field goal shooting percentage with 56.7 percent (51-of-90). Through 11 games this season, she is averaging 13.1 points and 6.0 rebounds per game to go with her 10 steals and eight blocked shots.
